About Revive Physical Therapy
Dr. Liana Sved
Dr. Sved graduated from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. She received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2013. After graduating, she worked in a variety of settings from inpatient ICU and neurology to outpatient neurology and orthopedics.
In 2017, Dr. Sved completed her drying needling certification through Myopain Seminars. This certification completely changed the way she viewed the body and pain. The course also sparked her interest in treating Craniofacial Pain.
Dr. Sved is passionate about treating people as a whole from head to toe and not just treating one body part at a time. She has a special interest in treating people with TMD (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder), CFP (Craniofacial Pain), Cervical pain, concussions and headaches. She believes there is a more conservative and comprehensive approach to treating patients that includes collaborating with primary care, dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, oral surgeons, myofunctional therapists, psychologist, behavioral therapists, and other therapies to achieve the desired outcome, relieving symptoms and returning to YOU.
Dr. Sved is even more passionate about giving patients the type of attention and treatment they deserve in order to get better faster. She will treat anyone who works with her from head to toe because we are whole beings, not just parts.
Dr. Sved grew up in Ohio and moved to Mystic, CT in 2017 with her husband Michael. They are huge foodies and enjoy dining out. Country music is their jam and love going to concerts. Dr. Sved and her husband live an active life style with hiking, biking, and weight lifting. Often, you can find them walking their two fur babies, Gus and Bruce, around downtown Mystic.
